Justin stands for:

  • Your access to healthcare shouldn’t depend on where you live, your employment or marital status, or your age. Rural areas especially suffer from lack of clinics and hospitals to serve their residents. We can and must do better, and I’ll work to make that happen.

  • Article XIII of Minnesota’s constitution requires our legislature to establish a general and uniform system of public schools.  Why then do schools in places like Edina have sixteen assistant football coaches, while many other districts can’t afford to provide band instruments for their students?  It’s way past time that we find a way of funding our schools that’s not reliant on the tax base of individual school districts.  I’ll work to enact a fair system of funding that doesn’t put our rural districts at a disadvantage.

  • If we don’t do all we can to keep our environment healthy, even the best education and health care won’t do us much good.  The long-term health of our lakes, rivers, and groundwater is far more important than short-term profits that foreign investors threaten to export at our expense.  We owe this to the generations that will follow us.
